Fresh off a victory at the SBS Tournament of Champions, Justin Thomas continued his otherworldly play and opened the Sony Open in Hawaii with a record setting 59. Thomas became the 7th player in PGA Tour history to break 60 and the youngest player in PGA Tour history to do so.
Thomas continued his onslaught across the Hawaiian Islands in the second round with a six under par 64. His two day total of 123 is the lowest in PGA Tour history. In the third round Thomas shot a bogey free five under par 65 to take a seven stroke lead into the final round. Thomas cruised to the finish line with a four under par round to win by seven.
This is JT's third victory in his last five starts!
Thomas relies on the classic styling and structured performance of FJ ICON MyJoys golf shoes as well as the FJ Pure Touch Limited golf glove week in and week out on the PGA Tour.
Justin averaged 314.5 yards off the tee this week. In the following video, PGA Teaching Professional Mark Blackburn and Biomechanics expert Dr. Sasho Mackenzie dissect the young bombers footwork to better understand how he generates such blistering speed in his golf swing.
When you're hot, you're hot! Could be a HUGE year happening before our eyes......
Congratulations JT! Keep it rolling in 2017!
On a roll and I hope that he keeps it up!
he represents the Icons and shield tip look. He plays Titleist clubs as well. I wish he also wore FJ clothes although his classic Polo looks are a good second choice. He would be a great Ambassador for the brand. Big fan of his. Devin don't know if its just me but the video of his footwork you refer to does show up.
The guy is on a roll and is swinging those clubs with authority. Congratulations on a great start. 2017 could be your year, Justin.
hot start......he will be a favorite at August if the SC is working for him.....
This guy may turn out to be decent LOL. Wow, what a way to start the new year.
