FJ #1 Outerwear in Golf

  • Best shot of 2015 was at Pebble Beach hole #7 in May. Playing with some college buddies on our annual golf trip.

Wind gusting and coming in off the cove from the right about 20 mph.

Yardage stated 111 but with wind and drop in elevation, caddie suggested punching a 3/4 9 to keep it down.

Took his advice and swung away.

Ball never left chest high, flying straight at the flag, cheating the wind.

We all held our breath because if the yardage was right, a dream of a hole in one at Pebble would have happened.

Golf Gods said, not today, my ball struck the flag stick and caromed off to the left side of the green.

2 putts for par, but hole in one or not, I've told that story over and over.

  • Best shot of the year was on the last hole of our league championship.  We were tied and my approach shot was in the greenside bunker.  I short sided myself and needed to get up and down to win the hole.  I hit my bunker shot within 4 feet and made the put.  This was better than my 190 yard eagle earlier in the year.

  • My best shot of the year was all of them. Played a lot of golf this year and had a great year.

  • Looks like this would keep me warm

  • Best shot was with new mini driver and ripped one down the middle at Acushnet about 260. Chip and putt for bird. As on all good swings it felt effortless

  • Ok, this may not have been my best shot of the year but I was playing the Disney Magnolia course and birded the Par-3 "Mickey Bunker" hole!

  • My best shot of the year was a knock-down 8 iron on the 8th hole at my club in Boonville, IN. This is a down hill par 3 and my shot landed within a few inches of the pin and stuck for a tap-in birdie ... less than a foot away. The closest I have come to a hole-in-one.

  • Cherry creek 8th.  Par 5 driver, 8 iron, one putt for eagle

  • My best shot all year, happened during my best round of the year, and it was not a physical shot, but a mental shot.  Phil Mickelson came to the course I was playing (Hacienda Golf Club), to warm up for the Humana Challenge.  I was playing 3 groups behind him and was able to hear and observe his approach to playing a round of golf.  I ended up shooting 68 that day (Phil shot 66).  I shot 3 under on the front and then stumbled on the first couple holes of the back nine, I was getting down on myself.  I heard Phil, from another tee box say to another player, that good golf is not measured by a number, but by determination and the ability to play all they way through the final stroke.  I turned my back nine around to shoot even on the back, essentially, the mental "shot" gained, of regaining focus and finishing my round strong, is one that I will never forget!  Thank you.

  • I had just switched to a ProV1x ball, playing my first round with them. Came to the third hole at my local course, a 380 yard par 4 with a dogleg right around a water hazard, mature trees across and to the right of the hazard. I ripped my drive over the hazard and trees, found myself on the fairway, about 20 yards to the pin.

  • The best shot I hit all year?? I have a short memory so I'll post about a shot I hit yesterday.  Second shot on a long par 4 into the wind.  My Sunday best 3-wood to five feet.  I made the putt for birdie.  Won a skin in the match with my group.

  • I have worn Foot Joy Shoes for 25 years. Best shoe without any comparision.

  • My best shot, was taking my 3 year old son to the driving range and watching him hit multiple "best shots." Its too easy to think of the great shots i hit this year, but watching the innosense of a toddlers face lit up like a Christmas tree.... That's the best.

  • This was a tough year for me. Only got to play 12 rounds (instead of the normal 75 ) due to a divorce. But i was able to put together a few good shots here and there. At my home course, the opening hole is a 530 yd par 5 with trouble everywhere. Threaded a drive down the pipe and hit the sweetest 5 iron i can ever recall hitting. Ended up 18 inches from the cup. Tap in. ..proceeded to card an even part round of 72.

  • I didn't hit a good shot in 2015 because I have been suffering from 3 bugling disks in my back this year...hopefully I them fixed in the off-season and have a better golfing 2016.
