Find the right golf shoe for your game.
Playing in his native Ireland at this week's Irish Open, Padraig Harrington will be sporting some curious looking shoelaces in his FootJoy golf shoes. These laces are adorned with the Special Olympics logo promoting a message of respect, acceptance, and inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities.
Harrington has been very hands on during his time with the program, often visiting Special Olympic athletes and coaches to conduct golf training sessions.
Paddy became a spokesman for the Special Olympics back in May 2010 and selflessly demonstrates his support stating, "I am proud to be part of the Wear the Laces for Special Olympics initiative, tied together with my friends at Special Olympics; which I hope will raise awareness for the movement.”

Awesome! Well done Paddy. And all the best during the Irish Open sir.
That is great that he is helping with implementing their golf programs!
As someone who has an aunt that has participated in the SO I commend Paddy for supporting this cause.
Way to go Paddy thanks for spreading the awareness! I volunteer with the First Tee and work with a group of kids with down syndrome and it is a great joy!
I've supported the Special Olympics since 1992. It"s nice to see pro golfers support different causes. Thanks Paddyand good luck in the Irish Open.
