10 years ago when I ran some marathons I would always have on two pairs of socks but not in the traditional sense. The inner layer would be a thin silk type sock designed for running that would wick moisture off onto the outer sock. Thus keeping your feet dry and preventing blisters.

I feel in any sock or under garment the ability to wick moisture is the most important aspect

    bholley -

This may not be exactly what you are looking for but you should check out our new TechSof line of socks.  This is just about the most feature packed socks you can possibly get.

First off, they are anatomically shaped to the left and right foot, providing exact cushioning at the right points.  They feature breahable mesh in the major hot spots and Dri-Lex technology to pull moisture away and keep your foot cool.  There is a killer midfoot cradle to support your arch and keep you from sliding around.  The best part is now they are available in low cut, sport, and crew.

I personally use these to play golf and work out in.  I haven't come across anything better.  Check them out here.

Mike - do you have that sock with a roll top or tab?

    Hey memphis ...

Sorry, I missed your question.  There is nothing with an actual roll top in TechSof.  We do have a TechSof Low Cut which it roughly the same height.

    Hope this helps.

    Mike,

Not sure if you got my message but tried out the TechSof socks. I had been hitting some practice balls and was wearing Thorlors.  I could tell an instant difference in breath-ability. Did my workout and they felt really comfortable. As comparison with the Thorlors I feel they are definitely better in moisture wicking department and they seem to give you more wiggle room for your toes with out bunching up and possibly causing blisters.

    Thanks

Great feedback.  I will be sure to share it with our socks and accessories Product Manager.
