This Sunday at Torrey Pines, Scott Stallings shot a final round 68 to emerge victorious from a jam packed leaderboard.
Beginning the day three shots out of the lead on the coastal California course, Stallings birdied six of his last eleven holes to reach nine under par. This included a two putt birdie at the last hole to give him the lead. The only player who had an opportunity to catch Stallings was the Australian Marc Leishman. Needing eagle to tie, Leishman nearly holed his third shot on the par five last hole but had to settle for a tap in par and a T2 performance. Canadian, Graham Delaet also finished the tournament in a tie for second.
Stallings relied on the all new D.N.A. golf shoe and Pure Touch Limited golf glove during his final round. Leishman also relied on D.N.A. during his week in California.
This is Stallings third PGA Tour victory. The win also moves Stallings into the top 64 in the world, making him eligible for the WGC Accenture Match Play next month.

Scott Stallings shot a tournament record 24-under par 264 to win the True South Classic at Annandale GC in Madison, Mississippi. Over the second and third rounds, Stallings raced to the top of the leaderboard with back-to-back bogey free 8-under par 64's. The pair of 64's gave him a one stroke lead over fellow FJ Staffer Billy Horschel heading into the final day of competition.
Stallings, in FJ Sport and Pure Touch Limited, played steady and methodical golf during his final round, making pars and picking up birdies where he could. Then with the tournament on the line, Stallings made birdies on 16 and 17 to take a two shot lead into the final hole. Stallings calmly made par at the last to add a second PGA Tour victory to his resume.
Stallings stated post round of his second career win, "Anytime you win on the PGA TOUR it's special. A lot of things and people went into winning this tournament and I'm very thankful."

PGA Tour Rookie Scott Stallings (FJ Icon #52005) began his final round one stroke off the lead at the 2011 Greenbrier Classic at nine under par, but soon became an after thought with a four over par 38 on the front nine to quickly fall out of contention. However, Stallings mounted a furious comeback shooting a 31 on the back side including six birdies. Entering the final hole Stalling was one shot behind the lead; and a clutch birdie putt forced a three-way sudden death playoff.
Playing the eighteenth for the second time of the day, Stallings left his approach to seven feet. His playing competitors both hit the green in regulation but failed to convert their birdie bids, leaving Stallings with a seven footer for the victory. Stallings struck the hard breaking left to right putt perfectly and watched it fall safely into the hole for his first PGA Tour victory.
The win earns Stallings an invitation to next week's Bridgestone Invitational.
