Let's start with what I like about the shoes. First of all, they're stylish and when you wear them to a tournament or you your club, people will know who's who and that you're at the top of the food chain. They have a very stiff and responsive sole for tournament players trying to find the best performing shoe. They are very easily cleaned and are fairly comfortable. However, I personally rarely wear them for a few reasons. First, I find them too heavy, it feels like a normal pair of shoes caked with mud and really weigh you down after long rounds, especially 36 holes. Second, I am flat footed and they are not the most comfortable pair of shoes I've had. Lastly, they take a long time to break in and I hate to see them crease, so I save them for special occasions where looks matter. Bottom line, these would make a great gift for serious golfers or anyone playing tournament golf looking to look serious. In my honest opinion, I would rather much get two pairs of Dry Joys which are basically the equivalent at these at half the price.

Comments about ICON Black:
Have been playing golf since my senior year of college, painful to say but that is now over 30 years. I play approx. 150 rounds a year and was a loyal Classics wearer until they went out of production. I still have and wear over 10 pair but have since added 2 pairs of Icons and most recently a pair of Icon Blacks to the collection. While not having that "dress shoe" feeling I'm used to from my Classics the Icon Black does give a sturdy true to size fit and the traditional look like the Classics. Not a substitute but, with the cork foot bed, for sure the next best thing.

Q:
Do the Icon use the same last as the dry joy tour in production?
I am an 8 wide in the Dryjoy tour.Asked on 4/18/2018 by Smithy from England UK1 answer
Q:
I have some FJ icons from 2013 that are size 11 (united kingdom) standard width. I am looking to buy another pair but when I got measured at my home club pro shop the footjoy device is telling me I need a UK 12 narrow width. Have your sizes changed?Asked on 1/20/2018 by Tee Time from UK1 answer
A:
Our sizes have not changed. The Icon model shoes tend to fit long and narrow, so that is why the 11 worked out well for you. You should stick with an 11, and I think it will fit you well. To be safe, try the shoes on indoors, so that they can be returned/exchanged if needed.
