This week’s FJ Tour Diary comes from Barcelona, Spain.
Hola from Barcelona, Spain!
Congratulations to FJ Ambassador Lee Westwood on his fantastic victory in Korea. A last day charge up the leaderboard allowed Lee to claim yet another European Tour victory, and cement his position on the top of the OWGR. With Lee's victory it takes the FJ win tally to 9 for the season on the European Tour. It was also a good week for FJ Ambassadors, Brett Rumford and Jbe Kruger who both posted top 10 finishes.
On to this week and it proved to be a very eventful week on the Titleist Tour Support Vehicle. Monday passed without too much trouble, and only seeing a handful of players, as the games Elite made their way back from Asia. Tuesday was a different ball game completely!
Team FJ were kept busy with a procession of players coming aboard to place orders for the number one shoe in golf. 42 pairs in fact! Daniel Gaunt, Thomas Aiken, Matthew Zions, Maarten Lafeber, James Kingston, Francois Delamontagne, and Mark Foster all placed orders this week, as well as many more. Then late on Tuesday afternoon, Barcelona had one of the most violent hale storms Team FJ had every seen! It lasted for around 30 minutes, and some of the stones were the size of a Titleist ProV1’s!! To add to the misery, the TTSV sprung numerous leaks, and players and staff where called upon to place bins, buckets and towels wherever they where required.
