The race is well and truly on and there are only four players in with a chance to win the inaugural Race to Dubai, three of which are FootJoy loyalists. Rory McIlroy charged to the top of the rankings after another strong finish in Hong Kong last week, but fellow FootJoy loyalist and Pure Touch glove wearer, Lee Westwood is hot on his heels and won't give up the title to be Europe's number one player without a fight.
Both McIlroy and Westwood were in good spirits this week at the Jumeirah Estates where the Dubai World Championship is being played over the Earth Course. The course is set-up perfectly for both of these players and fellow FJ ICON wearer Ross Fisher. With players needing to be long off the tee and also a lack of rough, the course should play favourably into their hands a provide an exciting climax to the 2009 season.
Camilo Villegas (pictured right) has ventured to Dubai whilst the US PGA Tour takes it's winter break, and he has also been joined by fellow USPGA Tour regulars and FootJoy shoe wearers Adam Scott, Ian Poulter, Luke Donald and Padraig Harrington. It's great to see these players in Dubai and proves what a draw the Race to Dubai has been this year in attracting the World's best players to sample life on this tour.
