The Centro Nacional de Golf plays host to the Madrid Masters on the European Tour this week.

It is now getting to the business end of the season with players looking to cement their places in the Race to Dubai whilst at the other end of the scale players are looking to secure their playing rights on the European Tour for 2010. With this being one of the last events for the guys at the wrong end of the Race to Dubai, this week is a real pressure cooker situation for them with every Euro counting.

FootJoy ambassador's Carlos Del Moral and Mikko Ilonen both find themselves in this position. We wish them both well this week. Good luck boys!

Peter O'Malley was breaking in a new pair of FJ ICON's in Madrid as he looks to chalk up some more Euro's before he fly's back home for the winter to Australia. Pablo Larrazabal and Ross McGowan (pictured right) were also out and about in their FJ ICON's this week as they look to squeeze into the season ending Dubai World Championship. Ross has been wearing a pair of Black and white wing-tip ICON's for the past few weeks and it has certainly inspired his golf after he finished in 6th position last week at the Dunhill Links. Ross was joined by another 7 FootJoy ICON wearers, including Lee Westwood, Rory McIlroy and Luke Donald in the Top 10 finishers of last weeks tournament.

The FJ ICON has been a revelation on the European Tour since it's arrival a couple of months ago. On a weekly basis, the FootJoy European staff are hearing how light the shoe feels, how comfortable the shoe is and also the stability the shoe provides. The FJ ICON is truly an all round brilliant golf shoe, and with FJ ICON MyJoys now available, the number of designs and styles available are endless. Just ask Steve Webster after he collected some truly individual styles in St Andrews.
