The bandwagon for the new FJ shoe continued to roll at the Omega European Masters in the Swiss Alps (pictured right) this week!! Many players are falling for its lightweight stability and traditional yet fashionable appearance. Many players continue to place orders and are asking questions about the MyJoys options. Watch out for some exciting and visible styles to appear in the coming weeks.
One player who is contracted to wear other shoes approached us this week to order some of the new shoes. He is getting no stability from the shoes he is wearing and will be stepping out in FJ’s at the Austrian Open.
Rory McIlroy (pictured right) returned to action in Europe after successful forays to the US last month and wore a new pair of white shield-tips for the pro-am on Wednesday. He is looking to go one better at Crans-sur-Sierre after his disappointment of a year ago.
Rory's not the only teenage superstar in the field this week. Seung-Yul Noh (pictured bottom left) is making a rare appearance on this side of the world, given the opportunity by the Omega European Masters being co-sanctioned with the Asian Tour. Already a winner on the Asian Tour at just 17, SY is looking to make an impression in Europe.
A European teenager was proudly wearing the shoes he collected at Turnberry on his way to becoming the amateur medalist at The Open. It has been an impressive summer for this young Italian who has shown maturity beyond his years to lift the Amateur Championship and lead the way in scoring at the European Men's Team Championship as well as his success at Turnberry. He has also made a fast start to this week's event in Switzerland.
3rd place finisher at The Open, Chris Wood, commented this week that the new shoe is the most comfortable golf shoe he has ever worn!! Chris has a very narrow foot and the N width options have been perfect for him so far. He has ordered more pairs for the rest of the season.
2007 champion Brett Rumford (pictured bottom right) seemed confident on his return to Crans-sur-Sierre. He spent lots of time working on his short game, as always, on the practice days and certainly made a very fast start to this year's tournament leading the way after an opening 62.
Open de Portugal champion, Michael Hoey (pictured bottom centre), chooses SYNRG and wore a new white pair on Tuesday's practice day.
Looking ahead to the Dunhill Links Championship at the end of the month, we have placed more new shoe orders for a big European Tour launch and also a few MyJoys orders for some recognisable players including a star from Hollywood and from the world of sport. Watch out for those in Scotland in a few weeks.
