Sweden’s Oskar Henningsson (pictured right) claimed his maiden European Tour victory at the Moravia Silesia Open held in the Czech Republic. The FootJoy shoe and StaSof glove wearer secured a two shot victory over the field which included FJ collar wearer Steve Webster (tied second and pictured bottom right) and DryJoys wearer Ignacio Garrido (tied fourth).  The 23 year old started the day three shots behind Webster but after birdies at the first and fourth he moved into a share of the lead when his approach at the eighth fell to four feet, seeing him pick up yet another shot. Two more birdies on the back nine, saw Henningsson finish with a brilliant final round 67, giving the Swede a two shot victory at 13 under par. Henningsson, who won last autumn’s qualifying school, had a previous best tour finish of tied fourth and, with a winner’s cheque of €333,330 for this tournament, quadrupled his season’s earnings. The win also secured the Swede a two year exemption on Tour as well as moving him to 42nd in the Race to Dubai.

The event was a huge success for many FootJoy players with seven of the top ten players all putting their faith in FJ.
