Padraig Harrington (SYNR-G shoes and Pure Touch™ glove) appears to have found his form at exactly the right time by winning the Irish PGA Championship held at the European Club. The win will boost Harringtons confidence as he heads to Turnberry for this week’s Open Championship, where he will be looking to become the first player since Peter Thompson to win the Open in three consecutive years.
The Dubliner has used this event as his Open Championship warm up in each of the last three years, preferring to play a links course in keeping with the testing conditions posed by the Open Championship.
Will Padraig manage to repeat his impressive form which he showed at Carnoustie in 2007 and Royal Birkdale in 2008? If the pattern continues as it has in the last two years, the Irishman will be a big contender to lift the Claret Jug (pictured right) for third time in as many years.
