Four months after claiming his maiden European Tour title, Soren Kjeldsen clinched the Open de Andalucia in Seville. The 33 year old Dane set himself in good stead going into his final round after recording a course record and career best 62 during his penultimate round. The final round proved a tense battle between Kjeldsen and his fellow FootJoy wearer David Drysdale (DryJoys). The pair were locked with three holes to play. It was Kjeldsen who dug deep to finish with a level par 72, to claim a three shot victory and the first place prize of £156,000. Kjeldsen now heads to Augusta for his Masters debut at his highest ever ranked position in the world – just outside the top 40.
Kjeldsen’s win was experienced in the style and comfort of FootJoy Classics and StaSof glove. The Dane was in good company with 65% of the field also putting their trust in the #1 Shoe in Golf.
