The long wait is over. The race for qualification is complete. The Captains have made their picks. The stage is set for the 37th Ryder Cup at Valhalla Golf Club, Louisville, Kentucky and at this most prestigious of golfing events, FootJoy will once again be worn by more players than any other shoe.

The force has been with the Europeans over recent years. However, the challenge of playing a US team with a score to settle on their own turf is not to be underestimated. FootJoy players and Ryder Cup veterans Lee Westwood Robert Karlsson, with once blooded Ian Poulter and Henrik Stenson will be using all of their experience as they tee it up alongside the Ryder Cup rookies and fellow FootJoy wearers Graeme McDowell and Soren Hansen

Inevitably the matches will pitch FootJoy player against FootJoy player as aficionados of the #1 Shoe in Golf like Ben Curtis, Boo Weekley and Steve Stricker go in search of points for the US team. Lucky spectators and television viewers will be treated to classic matchplay action, not to mention close-up views of the players’ favourite FootJoy shoes.

Expect to see FootJoy Classics®, new DryJoys® with PODS™ technology and maybe even some personalised MyJoys working hard to provide the comfort and performance the players rely on FootJoy to provide. History tells us that the match will be in the balance until late on the final afternoon. For FootJoy it is an honour to be at the heart of the action. May the best team win.
