Lorena Ochoa successfully defended her title on Sunday at the Safeway International with a convincing seven-stroke victory. The 26-year old fired a final round 6-under 66 to finish at 22-under 266 and claim her second victory in three starts to begin the season. It marked the lowest score, by four shots, in the five years the tournament has been held at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club.

Ochoa, who was supported all week by a large contingent of her Mexican fans, began the day with only a one shot lead. However, she took the lead with a birdie on the par-3 fourth hole and never looked back. She finished the day with eight birdies against two early bogeys for her 16th victory in her last 53 starts. Next up, Ochoa will pursue her second career major when this week's Kraft Nabisco Championship kicks off in Rancho Mirage, CA.

Ochoa continues to perform in FootJoy Womens Golf Shoes.
