I have only been playing Golf now for almost 3 years, and I can't say that my experience would be of much input.

However, I am curious to see what all the other members can contribute.  I know many of you have been playing for quite some time, and somewhere in you memory banks must lie a product or an event that you would like to see make a comeback.

Even if it could never come back, I think it would be great to hear about some of the things I missed.

I kind of miss the sound of metal spikes on concrete. As much as I love the new plastic spikes, I thought the sound of metal spikes was cool. But not cool enough to want to use them again.

Nice thread.

I have never played with metal spikes or a driver that is less then 300cc for that matter, but I do agree that it sounds pretty cool to hear the metal spikes on concrete.

Although I never used one, I wish the caddy would make a comeback.  Nothing beats walking, but I hate lugging my clubs around.  I have a push cart, but I don't really like it.

Devo, you need to find someone that has a Warbird. They were 195cc's and look like today's 3 woods. I really liked mine at the time. Now it looks so tiny next to my R7.

METAL SPIKES! Nothing grips the turf like them. Granted the plastic ones are more comfy, but you play golf to score better, not be comfortable. Add to it, I miss persimmon woods and balata covered wound balls as you really had to strike it well to get the ball to behave.

I wish they'd put them on DVD, along with the Playing Lessons with the Pros!

I guess that I am going to miss being able to participate in the golf programs I have been in over the years because of my age--especially the First Tee. I wish I could have been involved more earlier (as a student/player) rather than later... Missed out some great opportunities, even thought I still got a lot!

There are still many caddy programs in my part of the country at least, especially at private country clubs, such as the one where I caddy. Were you able to get a caddy almost anywhere?
