I have a pair of FJ Sport shoes that have what seems to be extra fabric on the inside near the toe area.  If I reach in and feel around the toe area of both shoes, it is not smooth and there is extra fabric hanging down.  This fabric rubs the tops of my feet and is uncomfortable when walking.

Has anyone else experienced this with their FJ Sport shoes?

Have you tried contacting customer service regarding this issue?

I don't have an FJ sport , but I do have Dryjoy tours and Icons. The extra fabric you describe sems strange to me and possibly should not be there. The shoes I have are very very comfortable and have been from taking them out of the box. The great news is that Footjoy's customer service is excellent, so I suggest you contact them using the link Devin has given you. If this is a manufacturing error the shoes are under warranty for a year and they will probably replace them for you. Let me know how you get on.

Thanks, Devin.  I had not contacted them yet as I wanted to see if anyone else had any similar issues.  I did just send an email via the link you provided.

Fairway finder, I also have other FJ shoes that are very comfortable and do not have this issue.  Hopefully it is a one off problem and they can be replaced.

Welcome, pablomich.

I have a pair of FJ Sports and never felt anything in the toe area. I just checked out my Sports and it is smooth inside the shoes, no extra fabric. Keep us updated when you get a reply from FJ.

I just got my first pair of footjoy sports in the mail today and after I read your post I reached in and felt both of them and I do not feel anything hanging down at the toe area.

I received a response to send the shoes in for a quality inspection as they have a 2 year warranty.  They were purchased in April of this year and worn for about 10 rounds so they are still covered.  I'm going to send them in tomorrow and see what they say.

You will most probably receive a replacement pair, pablomich.  FJ replaced my FJ Sports twice because of issues discussed here on the Forum.  I have been exceptionally pleased with the customer service I've received from them.

By the way, welcome to the Forum.  Stick around and participate in the best exchange of golf-related discussions on the net.

That seems like a fluke to me - My pair of FJ Sports doesn't have anything like that. Could it be there's a piece of the packing paper left in the shoe?

Thanks, pulplvr!  Hopefully they can be replaced as I really like the shoes otherwise.

And no, fredcloss, it's not paper.  It's fabric that is attached to the shoes but loosely hangs down.

Shoes were replaced with a new pair I received yesterday.  The new pair feels smooth in the toe area without the extra fabric of the old pair.  I won't get to wear them until next season as I live in Michigan, but hopefully I won't have the same issue.

Great customer service like everyone said to expect!  Thanks, Footjoy!
