i have brand new footjoy classic full gator shoes in perfect condition. i know that this shoes cost $2400 retail. i want to know how much it worth now. size 8 1/2 eee.
The value is really set by how much someone is willing to pay for them. They may have had an original retail of $2400.00 but right now they would only be woth about $100 to me. I much prefer the ICON shoe to any of my older Classics or Classic Dry Premiere shoes.
sweat looking shoe...would look awesome in the ICON
JC, those are a beautiful pair of shoes. I would say an eBay auction can tell you a fair value for them.
Sadly, I am a 10.5M (as is Hokies), so my feet are a no go.
Best of luck.

These are butes. Agree with TH. Ebay will give you an ides of the number. If you sell them on there with a reserve price, you may have a shot at a buyer.

Find me a pair like this in 11 1/2 Wide and I'll pay you $350 or more for them. These are one of the finest exotic styles ever made by FJ and of much higher construction quality than you can get in today's ICON shoe. While the old classics are heavier because of the material of the sole and stiching, they are superior in craftsmanship to any of the FJs made today. Anyone who knows shoes will confirm this.
Beautiful pair of spikes but 8.5 is a tough size to fill by many. There is someout out there though!
Wow, great looking shoes... Pretty pricey too!
If those shoes showed up in my size, I would be willing to pay about $300 but nothing more. It really depends on who they person is. Good luck.
All you need are 2 potential buyers and you have a price war. Suggest that if you want to find out a price, put them on Ebay with a high reserve. If someone bids over your reserve, then you made out in the deal. If not, you will know the highest price that was bid.

Golfdoc1, I asked our shoe team to weigh in on your post. Below is a response from our product development gurus...
Dear GolfDoc1,While we can certainly relate to your passion and loyalty to the fine product that our Classics represented, I have to respectfully disagree that it was a better product than our current FJ ICON category. While there were specific aspects of Classics that were "better" (like precise alpha-sizing and multiple last options), the fact of the matter is that our current production processes as well as materials used, deliver a product that exceeds Classics in several ways. FJ ICON shoes are more durable, provide more cushioning, are lighter-weight under foot, offer better waterproofing, deliver drastically better results in force-platform (stability) testing, and are available at a lower price. Believe me, we were sad to see Classics go - it is difficult working on the Brockton facility without hearing/seeing the hustle and bustle of the factory churning out those beautiful shoes -- but the reality is that Classics were the best shoes made using old-school manufacturing methods, but to shoe people 'in the know' FJ ICON shoes are better performing products all around.Regards,FJ Shoe Team
THEY ARE BEAUTIFUL.
I WOULD HATE TO GET THEM DIRTY.

Thanks for putting up the comments and information. I agree with the product guys who say that the new Icons are the state of material technology at it's finest for performance products.
I think where Doc was heading is more on the "shoe" side. Everyone in golf remembers how the old school shoes, the ones the toru players wore, were classic dress shoes with "nails" in them for grip. I remember getting my first pair of Classics and being so proud to finally have some "Tour" shoes. Felt so huge. And they were just like my Allen Edmonds dress shoes, which are top shelf.
But with advances, FJ has now been able to combine high tech manufacturing, customization, and a level of quality that surpasses anything available in the performance shoe category. Let's face it, golf was heading in the direction of sneakerville in order to provide lightweight, waterproof, and traction control on course. A couple firms in Oregon clearly set the tone for that direction.
And we now know, based on the percentages on tour, every tour, how well accepted the FJ technology and performance is. The best. Period.
So while I still look longingly at the couple pairs of Classics I have in rotation (and still use), the Icons have taken their spots for the go to competition shoe.
My god those are the most beautiful shoes I have ever seen. The $2,400 doesn't fly though haha
Right on CG! FJ Icon is top of the line.
