I thought I read this on the MSN Home Page the other day.
Has anyone else caught this anywhere?
Nope. CBS and GC are going to cover it.
The Masters will be televised. Part of it will even be telvised and available to watch in 3D, if your TV or computer has that capability and you have some of those goofy glasses.
There is no way this would happen. Too much advertising dollars at stake.
According to the Masters website they made an announcement last Monday, the 15th, that they will be broadcasting some of their telecasts in 3D.
From their website:
Two hours of live afternoon 3D coverage will be available each day beginning during Wednesday’s Par 3 Contest on April 7 and continuing throughout the four Tournament rounds, Thursday, April 8 – Sunday, April 11.
I think what MSN was questioning was whether or not Tiger's opening round tee off would be covered live.

IT WON'T HAPPEN BUT NOT BECAUSE OF ADVERTISING DOLLARS. IF ANY ONE REMEBERS MARTHA BURKE'S PROTEST ABOUT WOMEN NOT BEING ADMITTED MEMBERSHIP, THE TOURNAMENT HAD EXTREMLY LIMITED ADS DUE TO MS. BURKE'S PROTEST AND ATTEMPT TO BOYCOTT SPONSERS.
IF YOU HAVE EVER BEEN YOU WILL SEE THERE IS NO ADVERTISING ON THE COURSE WHAT SO EVER. EVEN WHEN THE BEER TRUCKS COME IN TO RESTOCK THE CONCESSIONS THEY HAVE COVERS ON SO YOU CANNOT SEE THE BEER ADS ON THE SIDE OF THE TRUCK. THESE PEOPLE CAN AFFORD TO FOREGO ADVERTISING BOTH PRINT AND TELEVISION BECAUSE THEY DON'T NEED THE MONEY
I don't think Augusta wants to keep us from dreaming about their beautiful course. I hope I don't live to see the day the Masters is not televised. That would be a tragedy.
The Masters will be televised on ESPN & CBS. I don't think we will ever have to worry about The Masters not being televised.
Probably heard something about television being done in 3D and that not all stations would be handling that phase of it because of technical problems. For the Masters not to be televised would be disasterous for Golf and its fans.
don't think the Masters would ever not allow it to be on TV...we can be certain of that...
