I took my family to Magic mountain for some putt putt action since the weather was so nice tonight. We got a lot of strange looks since we all brought our own putters along with us. Personally, I cant imagine using one of those generic flange putters that are way too small for me. It would be like wearing someone elses shoes. Anyone else bring their putter to the miniature golf course?

I love to take the kids to the putt putt course. I use my own putter and ball. Nothing says you can't ???

I used to all of the time. There was a Putt Putt course that also had a driving range. My kids had a blast and we all had our own putters.

In High School we also used our drivers at another Putt Putt Course. It seemed there was a McDonalds about 200 yds away. Imazing how well you can launch one of those multi-colored balls off of one of the bumps on the course.

Actually, I'd never thought about it, mostly because when I've done this with my family we're on vacation someplace and never had the clubs when the urge to mini-golf struck. But I do like your thinking here! Why not.

HEY........TAKE A LONG 48" PUTTER TO ONE LIKE MINE AND YOU WILL LOOK NORMAL.  WHAT IS REALLY BAD IS WHEN WOU PULL ON WATER WINGS FOR THE FOUNTAIN HOLES AND THEN THERE IS THE INFAMOUS SITE WHEN YOU STICK YOUR ARM IN THE 18TH HOLE CUP..........ALL THE WAY UP TO THE SHOULDER

I haven't been to a mini-golf in quite some time.  However if I did I would take my own putter.

I generally just use what they have there. It's not like you would get anything out of putting on their astroturf or could work on your feel. It's always a family thing so we just have fun with it.

Before I sold all my Camerons, I used to have an AC III that I would use just for putt putt.   I had the best looking putt putt putter there!!

funny, i ponder this too. i'm leaning towards just showing up and using whatever they have. the turf i have experienced is so unlike the real thing that it seems futile to bring anything your used to to the course. it would be fun, however, to show up with a nice putter and ball for looks alone.

I dont think Im actually getting any benefit from doing it. I just do it because Im comfortable with my putter and dont like using the ones they have.

We have the "Beer Can Open" every year at a PP course.  It's a 4 round tourn. with special rules.  1.  Players must consume 4 beers per 18 holes.  2.  Any player playing a hole over par must drink a shot of whisky as a penalty.  3.  Penalty consumption is stopped when player passes out.  4.  Putter long drive championship limited to players not caught doing so.

I go both ways.  If it's me and my brothers we take our putters.  If it's me and the wife with friends I am using the supplied putters.  Using your own is definitely an advantage.  Great post.

I use my putter playing putt putt about everytime I that get a chance. It helps me feel more creative going around the wind mills..hehe
