As we enter the 2010 golf season, what are some of the things that you are working on? What do you hope to improve by September?

I will get my handicap back down to the pre-family mid single digit from my 11 that I am currently at. Now that the kids are of the age to play on a regular basis, I can get out and play more (my son and I are in a weekly father/son summer league). I am working on my short game and putting. If I can drop 5 more putts a round, I should be right where I want to be. As much as I practice putting, nothing takes the place of being on the course and having to read the greens to get the feel back.

STAY HEALTHY AND BE ABLE TO PLAY EVERY DAY THAT IN WANT TO.

AT MY AGE HANDICAP REALLY DOESN'T MEAN AS MUCH AS BEING ABLE TO GET OUT WITH THE GUYS, LAUGH,AND HAVE A GOOD TIME PLAYING THE GREATEST GAME EVER.

WE REA;LLY ARE ENTERTAINING.

MY GOAL THIS YEAR IS TO KEEP PLAYING AT A SINGLE DIGIT HANDICAP LEVEL AND BUILD MY STAMINA BY LOSING WEIGHT AND TONING MY BODY A LITTLE.  I AM WAY TOO HEAVY AND WOULD LIKE TO SEE MY BELLY A LOT SMALLER.

ON THE MENTAL SIDE, I WANT TO ENJOY THE GAME MORE BY NOT BEING SO CONCERNED ABOUT MY SCORE.  I THINK IF I ENJOY MORE, LOSE SOME WEIGHT AND BUILD STAMINA I WILL MAINTAIN THE SINGLE DIGIT HANDICAP ...MAYBE GET A LITTLE BETTER.

My goals are to practice more, get may handicap down to 2 and make a decent showing in the championship flight of my club championship.

I want to be able to get in at least 20 rounds this year.  With any luck I'll get in a little practice and improve enough to impress myself at the end of the season.

Nothing drastic, If I improve one part of my game that would be great.

To play more (pretty common I am sure) and get my handycap into the low teens. Been working on my putting all winter.

Really just looking forward to the 1st round of the year, which looks like it may be next week based on the weather. Outdoor ranges opened up this weekend.

play more, shoot in the mid 80s and become more fit

Mine would be to shoot in the mid 70's again.  I'm going to  take few more lessons  to work a few swing problems out and hopefully that will get me back to where I want to be.

My goal for the year is two part. 1. Stay healthy-I have had knee surgery and bulging disks worked on the last 2 seasons and 2. Get my handicap to about a 10. It's been 20 years since I was able to practice and play enough to get there. I figure that is realistic if I can stay out of the Dr's office. LOL

  • better practice habits and fitness
  • play 3-4 rounds a week
  • compete on Golf Channel Am Tour and win

my all time goal is to shoot par for a round. of course my home course is one of the hardest in the area so its hard, but if i can do it there, i can pretty much do it anywhere.

1. Work on and improve my short game, which should help me get to

2. consistently shooting in the 80s, which should help me

3. lower my index into the teens.

I love everyone's goals listed here. I really thought hard about this, because I golf for the "fun" of it. So....

I'm looking to get 3 golf trips in this year. Myrtle Beach is for sure. Planning a fall tri[ to N. Michigan too. The 3rd one is in negotiation.

I will get in my customary 60-ish rounds for the year. I will play 2-3 rounds per week, so pretty doable.

Working out more now so maybe I can get some distance back. I've lost 10-ish yards on my irons over the past couple years and more on my driver. So I'm doing more stretching and stuff to see what that means.

Finally, I am truly hoping that we Ambassadors can work an opportunity with the Staff for an event somewhere. I think it would be so great to get together, if we can.
