I know that he is not a FJ player, but after watching Freddie Couples win a couple of tournaments and look so cool and easy going. It reminds me why I enjoy watching him play. I am in my mid 20s but i still love the guys like Couples and Love III, and i think the Champions Tour for Freddie has put him back in a place where he enjoys showing up everyday. Any thoughts on that. And how many people on here follow much of the Champions Tour?
My friend and I were talking about this a few days ago. I really don't follow or watch the Champions Tour other than updates shown on the GC. But, since Freddie is playing we might actually go to the Liberty Mutual to watch him play since we like him so much.
I am a little older, but he was one of the few guys whose name I knew. I have only been watching for a few months and playing for less than a year. So I think it's great to see a name from when I was your age still around kicking @++ and taking names.
In 1997 I believe there was a video game for pc and he was one of the characters, along with Chi Chi and Trevino
I'm a golf fan in general, but I do enjoy watching the Champions Tour now that my idol, Fred "Boom Boom" Couples is playing and he's tearing it up!
I am trying to figure out when I can get to an event this season...
Who's coming with me? LOL!
I love Freddie, and love watching his swing. Wish I could swing that way!
I've watched the Champions Tour on and off, mostly when hometown boy Tom Watson's in contention. We used to have a senior event here in KC -- it was a lot of fun.
Freddie is exactly what is right in golf, to have a swing and talent like his and be personable. I know that the Champions tour is supposed to be somewhat more low key and the players are more approachable. He just looks like he is enjoying himself out there. (Tiger, are you listening?)
I LIKE THE CHAMPIONS TOUR BETTER THAN THE REGULAR TOUR...............EXCEPT FOR THE MAJORS AND THE PLAYERS CHAMPIONSHIP. GUESS MY AGE HAS A LOT TO DO WITH THAT. FREDDIE IS A FAVORITE OF MINE TOO!
I'm in my early 20's as well but really like Freddy and his amazing swing. I don't follow the Champions tour often but I did watch some of the last couple tournaments and saw Freddie win.
I will watch any golf any time so I'll watch the 50+ guys when they're on. I think Freddie is just what that tour needs, a bit of a marquee player they can hang their hats on. He could absolutely tear that tour up this year and for years to come if he can stay healthy.
FREDDY HAS BEEN MY WIFE AND MY FAVORITE PLAYER FOR YEARS.
