Another kinda fun product -- Shaft Skinz. they've been around a couple of years, but I stopped by their booth at the PGA Show just to see them in person. It's a cool way to decorate the shaft of any of your clubs. Rory Sabbatini uses the skull design on his Scotty putter. Tim Petrovic and Nick Flanigan use them on the PGA Tour, a lot of women on LPGA, Futures and overseas tours are fans, too.

Eight different designs: New Fire, Camo, Snake, Crackle, Champagne, Confetti, Skull and Puzzle, all in several differnt colors. Easy to apply (pull them on over the grip end, shrink with heat from a hair dryer) and easy to remove (slit with a knife and pull off -- no residue). They conform to the Rules of Golf, and weigh practically zip -- nothing that would affect my swing, certainly! You can see them all and buy them (in packs of 4 for $19.95) at www.shaftskinz.com , which also has a list of retail sites. I first found them in an online golf store, so just plug it into your search engine.

I am thinking I might put the pink New Fire flames on my driver -- sort of intimidating, don'tcha think? And maybe the pink Confetti on my putter.

Don't know if I'll jazz up my clubs with them, but will certainly give them a serious looksee. One never knows at my stage in the game what we older folks may do or remember to do. Something to do with senior moments, I think.

I heard that they would also be available for collegiate too. Is that correct? I would love to see the Jayhawks on my clubs....no offense to Mizzou or NC.

That would be very cool! Tar Heel's decision would be easy, as would Go Hokies. They did not mention anything about it at the show, but that doesn't mean it's not going to happen.

They were actually on the Golf Channel show about golf inventions...made it pretty far but obviously wasn't the winner...

Thought it was a pretty cool concept just don't know if I could do it...too much a traditionalist on the course

They look cool but i cant see my self putting it on my clubs.  If I did it probably be only my putter.
