I like to run often on the course. Whether it's just from a cartpath out to my ball or up a hillside, I like to get some exercise in. Does anyone recommend a good shoe that has the best of both worlds - running and golf?
I think that it would be tough to find a pair of shoes that would work for both sports. The support needed in the golf swing is quite a bit different than that needed while running.

There are quite a few styles in this category, but if you are looking to 'look like a runner', then the athletic style is probably for you. This style also uses Slip Last construction (the only shoe in FJ SuperLites that does).

Wow that's hardcore. There's a guy at work who does that also. He hoists a Sunday bag across his shoulder and runs. I would take a look at either the Contour or Superlights.

The SuperLites are ridiculously light. I was tossing a pair around in the shop a couple of months ago and was suprised at how light they were. I was shocked that you could construct a pair of shoes that light and have them last as long as they do.

That's a tough one... but Mike has probably given you the best options available at this time. I would first look into the Contour, it's one of the better all purpose shoes out there.

Thanks Mike and everyone else who commented. I am going to go with the Super Lites because of what everyone else has said about how light and comfortable they are, but moreover due to the breathable mesh on the sides. I most often golf out in the Palm Desert / La Quinta area, so breathability is really important in such extreme temperatures.
