WHEN I WAS YOUNGER AND LIVED IN PITTSBURGH, I BELONGED TO SEWICKLEY HEIGHTS GOLF CLUB FOR ABOUT 4 YEARS AND THEN I BELONGED TO SHANNOPIN COUNTRY CLUB FOR MANY YEARS.  BOTH COURSES HAD CADDIES AND I ALWAYS USED THEM,.

NOW, NONE OF THE COURSES I PLAY HAVE CADDIES SO SINCE I MOVED HERE IN 1989 IT HAS BEEN CARTS.  EVEN THE PRIVATE COURSES AROUND HERE DO NOT HAVE CADDIES.

I walk and use a BagBoy push cart almost all the time. A couple of exceptions -- most of the tournaments I play require carts, and when I'm on a golf trip I use a cart. I agree with most of the sentiments above -- I like to walk anyway, and it keeps me focused.

good question. i carry my stand bag and will be carrying my new sunday bag. i take a cart only if forced to. rarely do i have the chance to have a caddy but would jump at the chance.

Now use a cart due to an injury I suffered many  years ago that causes severe pain in my right foot if I do a lot of twisting on it caused by walking on uneven turf. Not particularly what I would like to do, but at least I get to play golf and enjoy it.

Carry. Can't stand the gym so this is the best I think that I can do to stay in shape. Plus helps me think about my next shot while I am walking to the ball. But a caddie is a true joy.  Looking forward to the caddies in Scotland this summer.

I wish I could walk, but 2 bad knees keep me on the cart if I want to play at all

USE AN ELECTRIC CART EVERY DAY.

THAT BEING SAID WHEN I TRAVEL I TRY TO GET A CADDY AND WITHOUT EXCEPTION,,,ALWAYS,,,PLAY BETTER WITH A CADDIE.

I got a Push cart for my son so I could carry and get through 18 holes. When he was younger, we could barely get through 9.

I perfer to walk and carry my own bag, that way if I hit a bad shot I have time to straighten myself out before Ihit the next shot. Also it is good exercise.

I to prefer to carry. Unless it's to hot, then I will use a golf cart. As the others have stated by walking I belive you have more time to take in your next shot, distance, elevation change  etc.etc.
