The question:  what is the most memorable shot you ever saw hit during a professional event from a player that won a golf tournament?

Here's my top 10 list:

1.  Tiger's chip on 16 at the 2005 Masters

2.  Justin Leonard's putt on the 17th at TCC to win the Ryder Cup in '99

3.  Payne Stewart on the 18th green at Pinehurst #2 in the '99 Open

4.  Jack's birdie putt on the 17th green at the '86 Masters ("yes SIR!")

5.  Mickelson's putt to win his first major at the '04 Masters

6.  David Toms' hole-in-one on the 13th of the 2001 PGA Championship

7.  Larry Mize's chip in sudden death at the '87 Masters

8.  Hale Irwin's putt/celebration on 18 at Medinah in the '90 Open

9.  Corey Pavin's 4-wood at the 18th at Shinnecock at the '95 Open

10.  Nick Price's 60-foot eagle putt on 17 that won the 1994 British Open

Wow, you hit pretty much all the big ones. One I distinctly remember is Micheel's 7-iron at the 2003 PGA. The weight of the tournament, the fact that the 169th ranked player was holding on with one hole to play and the fact that he only had a one shot lead...and then to stick a 7-iron to 2 inches. Wow.

My favorite winning shot would have to be Payne Stewart at the US Open!

Payne at Pinehurst in '99 is at the top for me.

I'll add a few bunker shots to this list (no particular order) ...

- Paul Azinger's holed bunker shot to beat Payne Stewart at the 1993 Memorial

- Bob Tway's holed bunker shot to beat Norman at the 1986 PGA

- Birdie Kim's holed bunker shot to win the 2005 US Women's Open

- Sandy Lyle's fairway bunker shot  at the 1988 Masters to set up a winning birdie putt

I was thinking Shaun Micheel sticking it to a foot or so on the 72nd hole of the PGA. That was impressive!

What about Harrington's 5-wood at the British Open?  Was it on 17 that set up an eagle?

For me it Hal Sutton on the 18th during the 2000 Players Championship where he beat Tiger.

Tiger's shot in the dark at Glen Abbey in the Canadain Open and Payne Stewart at Pinehurst.  Those two always stand out in my mind.

+1 on Glen Abbey, TW is an amazing golfer.

Not a bad role model either!

I would have to go with Tigers chip in the 2005 masters.  I dont think that Tiger could make that chip again if he tried.
