Alabama whipped LSU and deserves to be the National Champion.
As much as I would have liked OSU to be in the game. They would not have beaten LSU.

This is the part that is ridiculous to me given our current college football system. If you want to say that every game in the regular season counts, then Alabama shouldn't have gotten a second chance at LSU. In a playoff system, I wouldn't care because they would've earned their way to that point. I just don't believe, that if we are going to rely on the OPINIONs of voters to determine who plays for the MNC, that a team who didn't win their conference (or their own division at that) should have a shot at the title. Give me a playoff...unfortunately a true playoff isn't likely to happen soon. Too much big money involved in the current system. The best I think we can hope for in the near future is a plus one system which would at least be somewhat of an improvement.
I too was glad to see Georgia Southern's offense fairly decently well against Bama's defense. My best friend is a HUGE GA Southern fan and I had been going to games with him during Paul Johnson's tenure there. And as you can see from my screen name, I'm a fan of the spread (triple) option offense that Paul Johnson runs.
