Is there a difference in putting with or without a glove?
I wear my glove, but I see all the players take it off. Just wondering.
I TAKE MINE OFF. HELPS TO KEEP THE GLOVE DRY.
I take mine off, mostly to give my hand a breather. Ive putted both ways and dont really notice much of a difference.
hey pablo, i feel like there is a difference. i putt barehanded. it's a feel issue for me. if you putt just fine with a glove on, then i say keep doing what works.
I think it's all a matter of feel, I always putt with mine off.
I take the glove off once I am within 100 yards of the green. Gives me better feel and contol for my wedges and putter. Wearing a glove or not is really about what feels and works best for you & not about what others are doing.
I believe it is just personal preference to what people like to do when putting. I like to putt without my glove on.
I always take my glove off to putt. Again, it's a matter of feel. Like JBrown, I usually take my glove off with my wedges too for short shots.
I do not putt with a glove. As the others have said, you have more feel without a glove.
I'm a no glove guy most of the time on all shots - will use a glove for full shot when the weather gets really warm (July & August).
GO HOKIES
I AM A LITTLE STRANGE IN THIS RESPECT( OTHERS TOO I SUSPECT).
I START WITH MY GLOVE OFF BUT IF I HAVE NOT PUTTED WELL THE FIRST COUPLE OF HOLES I START PUTTING WITH IT ON.
I DO THIS RATHER THAN TRYING TO MESS WITH MY STROKE OR GRIP AND MESS MYSELF ALL UP.
For me taking the glove off delivers more feel. I often dont wear a glove on shots inside of 105 yards. Just a personal preference though.
I hold the putter pretty lightly that I don't think wearing the glove adds any benefit.
I wear one for everything EXCEPT putting.
I am a feel player also, so I don't wear mine while putting.
