I have a cold and was wondering if anyone had any voodoo magic or suggestions on the best way to get rid of it? I'm currently shooting Zicam up my nose (burns like a crazy but clears me up for awhile) and using Puffs with VICKS, but I am looking to get rid of the symptoms (heavy head, eyes feel puffy etc).
Let me know if anyone knows any miracles.

SORRY ABOUT THE COLD. TAKE 2 ASPIRIN AND CALL ME IN THE MORNING. I'LL THINK OF SOMETHING BY THEN.
SERIOUSLY, I DON'T HAVE ANY REMEDIES BETTER THAN YOURS. HOPE SOMEONE ELSE CAN HELP.
GET WELL SOON MY FRIEND.
i'm not a dr. but have been around colds enough this winter to offer some advice. simply saline to flush it out. systane drops to lubricate your eyes. humidifier in your room at night. tylenol cold. good old fashioned chicken soup. your girl to take care of you. you'll be better in the morning. hope you feel better.
Go somewhere warm and play a lot of golf
I agree with MizunoGirl - Find a warm place to play.
GO HOKIES
Play 36 holes of golf. That always makes me feel better.
After thinking about this and consulting with the Mrs. she reminded me that I take Alka Seltzer Cold- Plus Night Time. It really works well for me and does not taste too bad either. i also use Alka Seltzer Cold-Plus Daytime during the day.
Thanks for the suggestions... I don't think golf is in my near future... can't get away and it's certainly too cold here.
I will have to give the Alka Seltzer a shot, I used some cold meds but it doesn't seem to be working.
It has worked for me more times than I can count. I take Vicks Nyquil at night before bedtime and do this for two or three days in a row and the cold just seems to go away. Case in fact, if I feel a cold coming on, I start it right then and for 2 nights consecutive and the cold never developes.Great stuff as far as I am concerned. One other thing that I know really helps in preventing colds and that is eating at least one orange a day. High Vitamin C is a musst in helping to prevent colds.
Try Tylenonl Cold & Flu.
Works for me.
Try sudafed. Not the stuff that is on the shelves, but the stuff that is behind the counter. That is the good stuff that you want.
