With Srixon releasing their Zstars in yellow now, what would everyone think if whatever ball you played came in white and other colors, would you play the other colors or stick with the traditional?

Have to admit -  made a Hole-In-One with one of the WIlson Staff Orange Balls.

I'm going to give the Sirxon a look simply because of vision.

Go Hokies

I AGREE WITH YOU GO HOKIES.  IF THEY SIGNIFICANTLY HELP ME SEE THE BALL IN THE AIR AGAINST THE SKY, I MIGHT TRY THEM, BUT ONLY IF THERE IS A SIGNIFICANT DIFFERENCE. MAYBE............I THINK.................WELL.......................ABSOLUTELY NO WAY!!!!!!

Wasn't this tried by some companies back in the 70s or early 80s?  If it didn't really catch on back then, why try it again?

Nice.

If I could, I think I would play with red.  Even black, although one shot in the brush and that's it.  I am not crazy about any other color especially blue.

WHEN WE LIVED IN MISSOURI I WOULD PLAY A COLORED BALL WHEN IT SNOWED (REAL FANATIC,EH?).

I'LL STICK WITH THE WHITE TITLEIST.

I will not play a colored ball.  Even if Pro V1/V1x comes in yellow, orange, pink, blue or whatever color you may want, I won't switch.  If I want to use colored balls, I'll go play putt-putt.

I think it's very unappealing but it could make you think you're on the range?  Usually everyone says they wasted their good shots on the range... might as well take them with you.  =)

Sorry, it's strictly white for me.

Just like Hokies and BRUCE, I played Top Flite Optic Orange in my teens. It was the only way I could see the ball past 150 yds, Once the white got against the blue sky, I couldn't see it at all. Now that I'm older, my eyesite isn't any better but I am playing only white. I think I would likely get laughed off most of the courses I play if I had Orange again. I'd give it a shot for scrambles and fun events though.

My daughter is totally non-traditional and plays Pink for all of her High School matches. What do the girls think of that?

Its a cool idea I think but I would stick with the traditional white for me.

HERE IT IS.  THE MORE I LOOK AT IT THE MORE I DISLIKE IT.  TIM CLARK PLAYED THIS BALL LAST WEEK

I don't think I could game a colored ball. I know a lot of junior girls enjoy playing with them, and if it keeps them playing, I'm all for it. And just remember, tennis balls used to be white!

We have given away Chromax balls at a couple of women's events -- mostly because of the WOW factor, and the fact that you can customize the colors in the sleeves if you buy in bulk. They come in a shiny metallic or a sparkly "titanium" finish and conform to USGA rules.

I'm also a traditionalist, keep the colored golf balls on the putt putt courses.
