A true Renaissance man, Luke Donald is just as comfortable with a paintbrush in his hand as a 5-iron. He graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in art theory and practice, and continues to develop new creations, which he donates to charity on a regular basis. On the golf course, Luke won the NCAA Division I Men’s Golf Championship in 1999, despite competing in a back brace. He nearly missed another tournament when a boa constrictor bit him and still has the teeth marks on his hand to prove it!
Considered one of the purest ball strikers on Tour, Luke grew up playing junior golf with his brother, Christian, and the two actually still compete together each week as Christian is Luke’s regular Tour caddy. Luke’s impressive professional résumé includes wins on the PGA and European Tours, a World Cup victory for England and inclusion on several successful European Ryder Cup Teams. With his diverse background and success at every level and around the world, Luke Donald is certainly a golf ICON.
