    If any of you who golf in The R.I. area  haven't hit The Meadowbrook (Richmond) which was completely redone by new ownership 2 years ago I suggest you give it a try. I played it today and the conditioning and layout are great. Tees go from 5,300yds. to 7,400 yds. and it has to be one of the top public courses around.

    Played there a few times, it is brutal from the tips.  If you are spraying it off the tee there GOOD LUCK!

    Yes - brutal from the tips! Word was that the owners ( who also own Exeter and Richmond) hope to bring a Nationwide (or what the new name is) or PGA event there. It has a lot of potential!

    The only state in New England I have yet to tee it up in.  I'll get there...

    Is Meadowbrook public?

    Josh,yes it is public. Surprisingly the little rural community where Meadowbrook is located has enough public courses to keep you golfing for a week-Fenner Hill,Beaver River,Laurel Lane and Richmond. They are all located on the same road just off 95.

    Sounds like a road trip up I95 from CT to RI could be in store for my golf group ? !

    The courses are all off Rt 138, R.I. exit 3. Only 45 minutes from Mystic (and near Foxwoods).
