Intriguing article in the NY Times over the weekend about the opening of the next 'Bandon Dunes' type golf experience. Cabot Links in Inverness, Nova Scotia, dynamism to the rebirth of a Community. Oceanside and links a magical golf forumla. So will you be one of the 'crazy' golfers to head east of Maine ?  I sure will !

Probably not anytime soon because we are in the west coast, but, yes, 'would love to visit, of course.  Thanks.

Same guy as Bandon. you know it will be cool. Good luck playing. quite a distance to go when I can drive to Bandon. I have not driven to play Bandon but I will this year  or next though.

GGG, That is a pretty good ride even for you.  How long a season could they possibly have, May to September.  Wish them luck and let us know when you are headed there.

That is real iconic links look isn't it. Looks fantastic.

Melbourne is located on a pretty big bay and the south eastern and south western coastlines of Victoria (my state) aren't really that far away.

Can honestly say I have never seen a hole with absolute beach front like that .. most of the links courses over here are built on the other side of large sand dunes. Of course you get glimpses of ocean every now and then but nothing like this.

Have certainly seen some great pictures of courses all over the world like this but no such joy for me so far... one day hopefully.

NCB - Would most likely fly versus drive, although there would be beautiful scenery along the way....Resort is located on the temperate side of the island. Season looks to be April - November...Quite typical to the New England area pending weather conditions  which may extend it.  As with Bandon Dunes it's a destination experience...

It appears it is several hours from an airport. A destination yes it would be.  It will be very pretty up there in early fall.  Have a great trip.
