Vegas is a bit of a mess. You have to get off the strip and out to Henderson or up to Paiute where T Tiger goes.

Here's another thought. To play at The Wynn, cost is $500 a round. Why? It's a course built after demolishing the Desert Inn Course, which was an iconic "old style Vegas" course. It's a 100% fabrication of Steve Wynn's, and while a beautiful piece of property, its not woth 5 big ones. Heck, Pebble Brach is $500.

So Vegas has always been a non factor for me as far as golf goes. I prefer other locales much more.

$500 a round? I read that right did't I. $500 a round? Whew! The place must be pumping!

The only way I'd pay $500 for a round is if they had gold nuggets sitting on the fairway.

And just to make certain you know where I'm coming from I wouldn't even pay $500 to play at Augusta ... well on second thoughts ... maybe ... but I can assure you that would be the only place.

Oz Pebble Beach is $495. Caddie is $80. I did it and have no regrets and I am basically a muni type player.

I will be back out at Paiute the end of August for four rounds. It is by far my favorite group of courses.

They treat you very well and we get rounds for around $65.00 .  That is hard to beat for the quality of course.

I lived in Vegas for four years before I retired from the Air Force, and Bali Hai is well worth the cost.  Angel Park in Summerlin is a great little track and has a sisiteer course in North Las Vegas called Alliante.  Angel Park also has the Cloud Nine par three course and it is great for some short iron practice.  But for the cost, you have got to make the short drive North to the Paiute Courses.  You will no go wrong out there and they are awesome people to deal with.  We would get a group of 20 or more once a month and go play, and they took care of us first class.  Great group of people.  If you can get on, I would also recommend Rio Secco Golf Course and using the T-Mate service.  It is a great time, but will take a bit of coin from your pocket.

Yes, I second that.  The course conditions there at Paiute are amazingly good (year round).  The layout and design are just fantastic.  The three courses are all great. . . and at the rate you mentioned, WOW!

End of August, man. . .  That's good golf weather out there. . . enjoy, which I know you will.

I am playing Paiute next time for sure. Sounds like a great deal.
