Classics vs Synr-G vs Icon Sizing ?

I'm a perfect 11D in CDP and Classic Tours.  I bought the new style SYNR-G in 11 M and they are a bit big, even with insoles.  How does the new Icon sizing stack up?  I'm a bit confused, wondering if I should get the same 11M or go a half size down to 10.5M.

    Anyone have any insight?

There has been a lot of discussions concerning the fit of these shoes in the forum for some time now.  It's been apparent, you need to try a shoe before purchasing.  For my, the Classics and the ICONs fit exactly the same (12, M) but that isn't the case for all of the member here that have come from Classics to ICONs.

Mike and Chris have a lot of great information concerning fit in the ICONs compared to the other two options, but your best bet is to run to an authorized dealer and give them a try.  Everyone's foot is different and the fit may be different as well as you have experience with the Classics to Synr-G move.

Mike Lowe did a great write-up about this comparing the different styles of shoes and how the sizes run for different foot types.

I can tell you that for me I wore an 8.5 Wide in the Classic shoe. I tried an 8.5 M in the ICON and it was a bit tight. As it turns out, I will wear an 8.5 Wide in the ICON shoe, an 8.5 M in the SYNR-G shoe. I have a very high instep and the difference in the shoe design makes the width difference for me.

It's always best to try shoes before buying. I have DryJoys and CDPs. As of right now both fit approx. the same. I will probably be getting some ICONS next year and have already found that they will fit the same as the above. One comment that I can make is that the DryJoys are a little bit loser in the width than the CDPs are, but that is all. Kelly is right about making sure you try them before making the final commitment.

Thanks everyone.  I guess I was just taken back by how big the SYNR-G's run.  I'll have to find the Icons somewhere local, but haven't had luck here in Chicagoland yet.
