Widths for New Custom ICON's ?

I wear a size 14 shoe and currently in the stock program with ICON's the medium width is the slimest Footjoy provides.  Does anyone know when the custom system for ICON's goes live will they offer narrow width's for us larger size folks?!

Good news Chris.  We realize that for many tough to fit golfers, our MyJoys program has become a welcome "go-to" option.  In the past, you may had had one (maybe two) options, but now the options are virtually infinite.

Because Classics offered such a wide and deep size profile, we have made sure to do very much the same with FJ ICON MyJoys.  The initial size profile will look like this, with larger and wider sizes to appear some time later in the year ...

• XNarrow  7-13, 14, 15, 16
• Narrow  7-13, 14, 15, 16
• Medium  7-13, 14, 15, 16
• Wide  7-12, 13
• XWide  7-12, 13
• XXWide  7-12, 13

Hope this helps.  FJ ICON MyJoys are slated to launch later this month.

Mike, relative to the classics from the last 5-8 years IYO what would a width of "B" or "C" qualify as?  X-Narrow, Narrow or Medium??

This is a really good question.  As with anything, the final width you settle on is really dependent on personal preference.  I have worked with the shoe team on a conversion chart to get you headed in the right direction.  There is no substitute for trying a pair on to ensure that particular size and width are right for you.

XNarrow (3A - 2A)

Narrow (A, B, C)

Medium (C, D, E)

Wide (E, 2E)

XWide (3E)

XXWide (3E - 4E)

As a few of the guys have pointed out in separate threads, the challenge seems to be on that C and E guy.  C and E have always been "tweener" sizes as any non-Classic wearers will tell you. 

A narrow C will generally go to a NARROW width, while a slightly wider C will likely fit better into MEDIUM.

just like ... 

A narrow E would likely prefer a MEDIUM and a slightly wider E will probably prefer a WIDE.

If you have worn non FJ Classics shoes (SYNR-G, DryJoys, etc) in the past, chances are you will go with the width you have trusted all along.

In the Classics I wore a 4E.  The XW in the ICONS fit perfect.  So for me the the ICONS seem to be a bit wider, on my foot at least.

Now that I had my Icons for about a month I am slowly having them stretch out/break-in and as a wearer of the traditional FJ Classic Shoe "C" Width the FJ Icon Medium's probably fit a slighty wider profile for me and thus I will wait for the custom option to go narrow with my next purchase.  I think Mike had some good points in his earlier response since I am a tweener and can go eitherway.  I agree though the Icons do seem to a bit wider, but I love the look and comfort!

I seem to have just the opposite problem. I wear an E width and my ICONs in Medium are too tight. I guess that I need to try the W and hope that they don't get too loose.
