I just bought a new pair of Footjoy Contours. They are the solid brown pair. I normaly treat my new leather shoes with mink oil.

Mink oil is a great idea!

My normal routine, may it be wet or dry season is to wipe down the top leather with a dry cloth, then with a damp cloth.  Thereafter, with a leather conditioner whenever I remember or have time and it usually ends up being at least once in three months or every month.  A shoe tree whenever it's not in use or during its bench time.  I change its spikes every year or close to it.

If you do these or some of it, you will add more life and spiffyness (oops is that a word? lol) to your FootJoys!  I own an 8 year old pair of DryJoys Pro.  I just used it last weekend and they are just fine!  It's leather still shines and it's still water proofed.  Yes, I'm still in love with it.

And I would also add that you should use a good leather conditioner after each use. This will keep the shoe supple.

Footjoy makes a leather conditioner and a product that is similar to mink oil. I got some for pretty cheap at Golf Galaxy, like $4. Take care of your shoes and they will last forever!

Gator, I use Maguires car leather conditioner following recommendation from TH et al. I use this every time I clean the my icons, which is probably once every three weeks, because I'm not that diligent. The conditioner keeps them looking like new. Cedar shoe trees are also a must to stop them creasing when they dry out. Enjoy the shoes: I don't think there is a more comfy stylish shoe on the market then the footjoy range.

Is the Maguire's a spray bottle?  Just want to be sure I'm picking up the right stuff.

    Thanks.
