For those that saw this already, I apologize in advance, but it was relevant to this thread is well - hope it isn't too bad of a faux pas...  All 3 pair of these FJSports were acquired over the past 3 weeks.  I have worn every brand and model of shoe you can conceive, mostly FJ - Classics, Icons, Reel Fit, Synr-G, Dry Joys, green joy's, etc.  The sport is my favorite model ever.  I have never seen FJ make this claim and I am not saying you would see the same results, but I drive very hard with my legs, and I have never had as stable of a base.  My balance and power transfer is much different in these and I have picked up considerable distance AND accuracy.  I know it sounds ridiculous to credit a shoe for the holy grail, but that is my story, and I am sticking to it.    I looked at them many times and quite frankly was repulsed by the whatever it is on the toe, but I actually kind of like it now.  What made me consider the FJSports was their presence on professional tours (including mini tours) it seems like everyone is wearing the Sport, and I had to see what it was all about.  I couldn't recommend them any more.  They may not be as sexy as the Icon's, but they sure do the trick.

Did you notice any difference in the outsole of the old model versus the new?

The older looks the same as the Icons, didn't it?

I wouldn't say that! The ICON has always followed more of a traditional styling while the FJ Sport is athletic inspired.  They have not really looked the same.

You need to trade the Swiftwick socks for the Merino Wool.  You will be pleasantly surprised.

I couldn't agree more. I will not wear anything but the merino wool FootJoy socks.

misread- mybad- bottom of sole is what I thought I read.

    This item in the store:

    www.budgetgolf.com/FootJoy_BOA_FJ_Sport_White_2012.html

when I clicked in it (details), the bottom of the sole looks like Icons, and it reads ""FootJoy BOA FJ Sport White 2012""

The store had this and thought the old Sports had the same soles as Icons.

That is definitely the wrong image of the outsole! good looking out, we will reach out to them today.

This is a good lesson for me.  "Always" check in with FootJoy.com website.

I've been thinking about it since the recent contest.

Thanks for reaching out to them.

I was hoping no one would notice, but knew it was inevitable.  I was out of town playing in a tournament. The  good news is that I found the shoes - I had been trying to find a pair of size 13 - the bad news is I forgot socks and these were all I could muster on short notice.  I haven't seen the Merino's but will definitely check them out.

Devin, they look a little different and of course there is the different pattern for the nails, but I haven't had a chance to wear them yet.
