Sandal Odor

I have Footjoy Golfing Sandals and they have a extreme odor problem after two or three wearings and I have to scrub them down with detergent and let them dry.  Any suggestions how to eliminate this problem?

Sorry to say, but try washing your feet better or wear socks with foot powder in them.

Try using a little white vinegar next time and don't use any detergent. Just wipe them down witha 50/50 solution and see if that helps. Nothing is going to really solve the problem if you don't wear socks to absorb some of the sweat that your body produces while wearing them. I have used vinegar before on sandals that I wear on occasion, but not for golfing.

Great suggestions up there guys. . . Yes, definitely wear socks with them.

Oh, hey, Clay, Welcome to FJC!

There was a problem quite a few years ago with the first generation of the women's FJ sandals -- same thing, the soles held the foot odor. I contacted customer service -- they sent me a new pair, maybe because it was a known problem. I'd try that, in addition to the suggestions above.

Wait -- oh my God, I didn't read part of that post. DO NOT wear socks with your sandals. The Golf Fashion Police will find you and rip them off your feet.

Sandals are only meant to be worn at the beach or if you are part of a Nativity Scene.

    AMEN,

Sandals have no place on the course.   I curse you FJ for bringing out a "golf sandal"

I think sandals are a part of "Team Garrett's" unifrom. They are to be worn with only cheap black nylon mid calf socks and shorts with the hem length not to exceed the knee to hem ratio of those worn by Dr "J" during his mid 1970's ABA days.

Tim a photo shop mock up would be in order.

I whole heartedly agree -No socks and as someone else has commented -- No Sandals on a golf course.  Save the sandals for the beach and a Jimmy Buffett Concert.

I enjoy wearing my sandals while I golf.  After Heart surgery my swing is not a violent but smooth swing so I do not need track shoe traction.  I would never wear socks with sandals......

Try Contour Casuals or FJ Street's. Get out of those sandals unless you're headed right to the beach after your round. Welcome to the FJ community. Hope you find something that fits your game. Good luck
