Need Help - Cleaning Patent Leather

  •

OK Guys -  Now that we are seeing more Patent Leather -  how do you clean it?

I have a pair of White/Yellow Patent Shield Classic Premier shoes -  the yellow has gotten a couple of little spots.

    Any suggestions would be helpful.

    Thanks Again

    GH-

Are the spots on the surface of the leather or do they appear to be underneath it?  Where are they (toe, saddle, heel)?

Patent basically leather with a PU coating to give it luster/shine.  I have found it is very durable.  The only thing I can think of is that the leather have developed slight abrasions/nicks from play and there is dirt getting in there.

    Pics would help if possible.

Unless the guys at FJ know of something, there is nothing that I know of that will clean the darn stuff. I, many, many years ago, worked in a shoe store and when someone brought in a stained pair, there was nothing that would clean them as they are plastic and once stained they were not cleanable. Hope the guys at FJ can help, but I would be astonded if there was anything they could do.

Try some white vinegar or spray & Wash on a soft cloth. Use a tiny dab of mineral oil to take care of scuffs -- just be sure to test an inconspicuous place first to be sure it doesn't change the color (it shouldn't). There are patent leather cleaners available in shoe stores

Thank you -  I'll give this a try tonight -  I've actually tried a couple of patent leather cleaners but that didn't help
