12 spike FootJoy Classics

    Hello ladies and gentlemen of this distinguished forum. My name is Elton and I have joined this forum to gain more info on some FootJoy Classics a freind of mine found while at a goodwill. They have 12 spikes on the bottom rather than 11. Is there any reason for this? The shoes are in MINT condition, they look like they have only been tried on and never actually used in a round of golf. Any info would be appreciated. If any of yall would like to see pictures I can post some.

    We went around a bit ago on whether or not FJ Classics had ever had 12 spikes.  I think your photos answered that question for all of us.  Looks to me like you've gotten your hands on an outstanding pair of Classics. Congratulations and welcome to the Forum.

I wish I could explain why the 12 spikes sorry.  but a great collectors item   although as I love that look and burgundy color I would probably have a difficult time not replacing the scleats with sofspikes to wear them occassionally.  Great find.
