Watched almost every minute and it was an absolutely enthralling contest as I had hoped.

US simply too good on Day 1 and Day 2 and they looked a class above and it was looking very ugly for the EUROs ... but the ultimate turnarond and incredible win from the jaws of defeat ...

Dare I say it but is the Ryder Cup more important to the EUROs? ... and did the great departed Spaniard manage to influence the Cup one last time?

    INCREDIBLE!

Sadly, the US guys played tight and hoped not to lose. That in turn, tightened them up and made them gag....

The way Furyk backed off the putt on 18 was a sure sign to me he would push it, which is exactly what happened.

While the Euros are to be congratulated for their victory, we can't overlook the fact that our guys just didn't show up to close the deal.

Furyk needs a 6 hour energy. Keeps loosing on the last 2 holes.

Feel bad for Strick but to be fair he should've benn moved (woods too) showed all week they weren't on.  Feel really bad for Furyk.  Man 2012 was not his year!  If he would've beat Sergio I think we might have won.  What a collapse

19holeAnd then there was that Captain's pick that went 4-0-0 this week!

and the Captains pick that went 0-4-0 this week

and then there was tiger that blew it by goin 0-3-1 while if he would have won the US would have won

Brutal.  I had a bad feeling Saturday night after seeing Poulter birdie on 18 to make it 10-6 USA.  I didn't like the match ups and thought Europe had an advantage on Sunday.  Once they tied at 11 all, that was it.  Stricker, Furyk and Tiger were very disappointing.

I agree.  The Eoros were into every shot and recovered from the bad shots.  The US team really shocked me.    Steve looked physically ill from the first tee.  Very pale and out of it.

Croc, you might be right. but I have a good reason why I think you are right. The presidents cup it helps and hurts our Ryder cup teams. playing mathces every year makes us get better, but it brings down the intensity of the Ryder cup as well.

Second, No the Spaniard, DID not PUT Tiger and Sticker out on Saturday. did not putt for Furyk, Michelson or Sticker or Woods on Sunday.

Third, guys like Poulter and Garcia and Donald and Westwood while all being very good players. have not won a major, this is their major. don't get me wrong I think they can and will win one but they get up for this big time.

Captains pick's. Snedeker was not gonna play well this weekend no matter what you did he has 11.4 million reasons why, Bo Van Pelt a birdie machine should have been on the team he was young fresh hungry blood and we had a lot of Nameless, older players who couldn't putt in the clutch and shouldn't have been put in clutch match positons to begin with. if the U.S. backloaded they most likely win.

U.S. didn't make putts but if Michelson's chip goes on 17 the U.S. wins.

It has to be said that this year's competition was riveting and had me glued to my seat. The Mickleson and Bradley combination was just magnificent to watch. The energy from Poulter tremendous and great play from Luke Donald and Justin Rose. 1991 in reverse makes this a historic match and it was great to see such sportsmanship between the two teams. I think both sides can be proud of the exceptional golf that was played across the three days.

the US just assumed it was a matter of time before they closed it out.  they didn't have the sense of urgency the Euros had.  and i think the Euros want it more.  they are more into it and more into the team.  don't forget the Euros had 4 players who were the current or former #1's.  the US had one.  and he only got half a point after it didn't matter.

ESPN Classic had an encore presentation of this years Ryder Cup, even though everyone clearly knows the outcome I watched it again. I still can't fathom how the US couldn't win 4 1/2 points. About midway through Sundays rounds, the US had 5 matches they were winning and they won how many of those 4? they couldnt manage to split a match? Hats off to the euro team for never giving in, believing they still had a chance to it. maybe Seve was with them some how.

and don't forget the putts Rose dropped in on Mickelson on 16, 17, and even 18.  Mickelson didn't lose that one as much as Rose came and took it from him.

USA was lacking the team player philosophy that Europe consistantly brings to Ryder Cup....Many missing links on Team USA.. Time for a generational change and new closer line up !

Just don't see it. he can't match the intensity for a 4 day tournament. his demeanor on tour is quite different.
