I agree Deno, but how about 20 yards out. Like the pane of glass on the Big Break shows. It's so annoying, I don't know what anyone gets out of yelling that.

You are right Deno. It is like being surrounded by a bunch of idiots. But why ruin a good driving range-fill their pockets with X-Outs and sink them in a water hole.

Maybe it's just me, but anyonre who shouts "in the hole" from the gallery should be staked on the driving range 200 yards out for a day.  Am I just grumpy or does this get under anyone elses collar?

Nah, you're definitely not grumpy. Really get's me when they yell it out after drives on par 5s.

Just pips those guys driving past the course yelling out FORE!

One of the most annoying "traditions" ever.

Good idea Deno and, I like the "Big Break" 20 yard idea. I've asked the few tour pros I have met what annoys them most and the "Get in the hole!" guy wins every time. As for what drives a lot of golfers crazy is the guy on the adjacent fairway that insists in yelling at his golf ball as if his/her voice will command the ball to do whatever they say. Invariably, their Zeus-like command is while you are starting your downswing.
