I can't say that I agree.  The course is beautiful and the field is 100x's stronger, but everyone has the right to their own opinion.

I guess that means you won't be around Labor Day Weekend.

Hey Boston, what courses did you play up there. I grew up in Worcester, we played all over, Wachusett CC, Holden Hills CC, Green Hill Muni, Stow Country Club and the clubs like Dennis Highlands and Dennis Pines on the Cape. We even made the road trip to TPC Cromwel way back when befor they changed the course... I only recognise one or two holes there anymore...

Great Golf in NE for sure...

    Fairways Greens and One Putts...

I have played the majority of my golf in RI.  I have played Newport CC, Sheltor Harbor, RI CC, Wanamoisett CC, Sakonnet CC, Montaup CC, Metacomett CC, Alpine CC, Carnegie Abbey CC, Wanumetonomy G&CC, Triggs Memorial GC, Kirbrae CC, North Kingstown CC, West Warwick CC, Potowomut GC, Quinessett CC, Newport National, Foster CC, Country View, Foster CC, and Jamestown CC as far as I can remember.

A few more in MA, but not as many memorable ones.

    Paul,

I took up golf at 40 (way, way, way too late), when I worked in computers in the Marlboro-Framingham area. I learned playing on all the courses you listed. Thanks for triggering the flashbacks.  I live in Marshfield now so I play a lot in Plymouth and on the Cape.

Hey, Devin..Do you still play at Crosswinds?

Will be watching the weekend to see if tiger can get under par on Saturday and Sunday.

Devin has played out of Newport National according to his profile. I did have the opportunity of meeting the sharp dressed young man on Thursday during Pro-am. Fine young lad I must admit... More to come on Labor DaynWeekend come Tuesday,

You might want to try the rebuilt Meadowbrook in Richmond, next time you come to R.I. It is 7330 from the golds and is in championship condition. A great new track rebuilt from a course that wasn't much.

Hi Thomas, I live about 500 yards behind the 6th green, 7th tee box. About a 6 min drive door to door.
