Couples had to withdraw from the Boeing classic this weekend after one drive. Love the guy and maybe he is better by the Ryder Cup but I think he would be a longshot to be a captains pick.

If the course is setup to favor bombers...similiar to Valhala...DJ gets on this team.  I would then add Snedeker, Furyk & Stricker.  Fowler is the tough call here.  I might replace Furyk with Fowler.  Watney needs one more strong week to change the conversation.  Up to this point, he does not appear to be included in discussion.  I think it really comes down to who best fits into the pairings Love is looking at putting together.

Sorry guys but as European my picks are Rory, Rose, Donald and Colsaerts.

Stricker, Mahan, Johnson, and Van Pelt

Stricker, Mahan, Johnson, and Van Pelt

I think these are the guys. Fowler has been putting poorly and Furyk is just slumping.

    Stricker is certainty.

Furyk, struggling big time since loss at Firestone.

    Fowler badly out of form.

    Mahan ... ditto.

Snedeker trying to make a late run.

    Watney ... ditto.

D.Johnson hanging around .. big weeken would help.

Van Pelt will probably be unluckiest of them all.

Glad its DL3 and not me.

so its DJ, snedsy, furyk and stricker, after the deutsche bank this makes the most sense, great picks, I think it will be tough to beat the U.S team this year with everyone playing so well.  Let's just hope for jim's sake none of the rounds are longer than 5 hours

Like the choices, but I'll miss Hunter and Ricky.  Can't have 'em all.  Go Team USA!!   I haven't seen the uniforms yet.  I'm sure DLlll will keep it classy.
