If you were the captain, who would be your 4 picks and why ?

Bo Van Pelt is playing about as well as anyone right now.  Had he finished second at the PGA he would have nudged Mickleson off of the team.

Freddie Couples is also playing well and could help out one of the younger players.  He is as tough a competitor as any of the US team.

Hunter Mahan has won this year and is a tough match play guy.

Jim Furyk is still one of the elite players in the world.

Thanks!  I think the Captain's Picks should be solely based on talent, the top 8 spot are purely numbers and the remaining spots should be the captains assesment of the best talent available, and to me; regardless of their 2012 play, these are the 4 most talented not on the team.

Jim's epic collapses this year in my opinion play him off the team.

As much as I like Jim Furyk, I have to agree with you that his last-round collapses

    take him off the list.

Randy beat me to it, those are mine!

Stricker, Mahan, Furyk, Fowler would be my picks.  Thankfully, I don't have to make the call though.

How things have changed in a week, with another week still to go.

I think it may be time for Jim Furyk to make way for some of the younger US talent.

I say Fowler, DJohnson, Snedeker and veteran Stricker.
