Jordan has been one of the best players on tour this year. For a guy with zero status on ANY tour heading into the season this guy has become a consistent contender.

No way Furyk or any Vet should be picked over him, it's a great investment in the future of US Ryder Cup teams.

Speith 100% deserves a look, kid has played out of his mind all year.

Plus, get him a little experience and he will be ready for Gleneagles in 2014!

Another guy I would love to see as a Captain's choice would be Mr. Harris English. Similar to Jordan and Billy Ho as guys who all won for the first time this year and are all young, solid, American golfers. Time to hit the reset button and bring in some youth that everyone knows would be full of pride for their country in these tourneys (a la Anthony Kim, Boo, JB Holmes, etc...)

I agree.  When I look at those just outside the top 10 (automatic spots) I don't see anyone who's been uber consistent.  JS would make a great choice based on his play this year and it would be a nice warm up to the 2014 Ryder Cup.

Agreed 100%  He has been VERY good all season.  There's no reason to NOT include him.  I'd love to see him in those formats.

I think he is like number 8 in FEDEX points......put him on the team.....we need some of the young guns.....look what the young ladies did for the Euros this past week.....or at least the first timers.......they were impressive.....I do like his game.....cz  : )

Plus, Jordan has the temperament it takes to play well in the Ryder Cup. He loves to win and finds a way to get it done.

  •

With the depthand experiance of the US team it is the perfect chance to blood some new talent like Horschel and Speith who have played great this year.

Still a lot of movement possible at the lower end of the top ten though so will be interesting to see what happens and how Couples reacts.

He is playing really well right now and should be in the running. I had suggested this in a previous post, but I'll do it again here: It would be great if fans were allowed to pick two players via voting; like the all-star game in baseball. I think he would garner a lot more votes than anyone ahead of him right now.

Would love to see him on the the team. Devin hook him up with some sweet Myjoys :)
