Who is/has been the biggest Fed Ex Cup disappointement so far?

Just had a look at the standings.

How did Yang and Woodland miss top 125 ??? and also Villegas and Vegas surely they should all be in the top 125.

Disappointed to see DL3 and Stenson ejected this week as both have had some solid results but obviously not enough high finishes and as an Aussie - Allenby has had one of his worst seasons on tour.

    Your thoughts ???

I think that if you dont show your best week in and week out you wont last the entire fedex cup

You know, that is the name of the game. Consistency in your game and staying in the top level at all times gets you into the running. Disappointed in Rory, Stricker and several others, but Bethpage Black is a demanding course and it does weed out those who just can't play those narrow fairways and avoid all those traps.

Woodland had some injury issues this year and went through some swing changes to provide more consistency along with his awesome power.  Yang has fallen dramatically after making over 2.3 million last year. No top tens this year and 7 cuts missed. Statistically he is on par with 2011 regarding GIR and driving but when you are only hitting just over 60% of your fairways it can go either way on the courses these guys play.

    Croc you nailed it.

Yang, was he a one hit wonder, no he played well last year? he was in position in the last weekend to make the barclays and couldn't close it out.

Woodland , yes the back and the new swing but he made like 14 of 18 cuts he just could not drop low numbers on the weekend, his words not mine.

Villegas maybe he is doing too many promo events. don't know where his game went

    Vegas sophomore slump

Sergio was having a rough year until the last two weeks

Watney way down for him from last year, but winning the barclays put's him in the first in the playoffs

I recall seeing a Golf or Golf Digest article a few months ago analyzing swing planes and how they differ for each person depending upon certain physical factors - Finding your ideal swing plane was a matter of specific measurements and included a quick test designed to determine whether you should swing in a flat, upright, or "neutral" plane.  The article mentioned Martin Kaymer and Camilo Villegas as players who altered their swing planes after their break out success year...(why mess with a swing that WORKS?!).

I will bet that struggles for these two and others have to do with attempts to change their swings. In the case of Allenby, known as one of the best ball strikers year in and year out, I suspect that his putting -never his strong suit - is even worse this year...

71- 100 cut this week after Deutsche Bank.

Very disspointin years from Choi / Sabbatini / Toms / San Moon Bae (after his WGC Matchplay performance) and most af all Jason Day ... but at least he got a little boy as consolation so all good and look for a big year in 2013.

Top 70 now march onto BMW Championship.

Rory favourite to win but TW hot on his heels. GREAT STUFF!

Well down to top 30 for the Tour Championship and must say that the field looks pretty good.

Of all the players from 31-70 who missed the final cut there isn't any real big dissapoinments give the year they have had.
