Found it interesting when they discussed Poulters play in this type of venue versus a 72 hole tournament. The analysts believe that Poulter does better as he can concentrate on just one round of golf and opponent better than on a tournament of 72 holes where there is constant pressure to do better each time out against numerous players. They justify that by looking at his tournament wins here, 2, and more over on the other side of the pond where he is more comfortable.
What do the rest of you golfers think??
I think Poulter is a very ego driven, self absorbed golfer. His self esteem in match play is the equal of TW. It works well in Tucson and Ryder cup but he can drift of of it during big tournaments where he can't super focus one person to beat. That being said, Paddy made some super shots or he would have an Open championship. I think if he can win one big major he will win a few more tournaments. His style builds on confidence. Super Cocky if his game matched his mouth he would be a mother. might have been better as a Tennis player, Where every match is one on one.
I like Stricker but he was not beating Poulter in the afternoon. Piercy was hot and new enough to the event not to be scared. If Stricker doesn't roll out that 30 footer on 18 Piercy win's in extra hole's. too bad he could have beaten Poulter.
