Any new courses being built in your area? We have one designed by Robert Trent Jones II in Owasso , Oklahoma.  Got to tour the course last week, it looks to be awesome.

This course, a Jack Nicklaus Signature Course, has been under construction for nearly 2 years, and is a huge re-development project in this area. It includes a hotel, marina, 800 homes, and oh yeah... a golf course. There has been much controversy over it, because 22 acres of land in a public park was "loaned" to the project for rent so that 3 holes of the course could be along Lake Michigan.

So I've played the first 10 holes that are currently open. The rest will be open by next year, maybe by June. It's not too bad of a course, but I'm worried that they are going to price it too high, too early. We'll see, since there is promise for a good destination. Time will tell.

Nothing going on in our area except some upgrading on selective courses.

Construction of a Jack Nicklaus designed course, began about 6 years ago, in Ferry Point, Bronx, NY. This course is to be on the waterfront. They keep running into problems with the local community. The local community wants a public park built on the waterfront. The construction company brought in loads of landfill, but each time they dig they unearth some strange things. The original co. ran out of money and now I think there is a third co.. I've been to the on site project trailer and saw drawings of the course and it looks awesome, if it ever gets completed.

Nothing really being built, having quite a few closing here in Michigan because of the economy...kind of depressing
